The first step to building a college list starts with YOU. What do you need from a college? What is important to you? And, why you want to go to college? These questions are the foundation for where you will apply to college.

Who: This seminar is designed for students entering 12th grade.
When: Returning Spring/Summer 2021

This live seminar will cover these topics:

  • List-Building Strategy

  • How to use data to inform your search & list building

  • College Search Tool Optimization

  • If I like this school, what other schools should I research?

  • How do I research and get to know a college in a time of COVID-19 when campuses are closed?

Students Will Design & Do the following:

  • Self-Reflection Activities

  • Design your dream campus

  • Practice search strategies that produce colleges that are a good match

  • Explore majors and careers as a pathway to building a college list

  • Generate a preliminary college list

  • Conduct primary source research

  • Ask questions about your research and list building (learn from recorded Q&A).
